Q: asterBoard™ has not that many features as I have seen in some other solutions, why should I buy it?
A: asterBoard™ is build for secritaries and phone operators who have to handle hundreds of calls per day, it is designed to have the needed features inside, some costumers of us are working with 5 operators for 600 extensions and all calls are handled trough asterBoard™, it is NOT a solution for supervisors inside a call center, it is build for operators and secretaries, if you miss a feature, please post a feature request in our forum at http://forum.zakotel.com
Q: Is there any restriction about the amount of use for phones, meeting rooms or queues inside the asterBoard™?
A: There is no limitation, you can configure and use as many phonebooks, phones, meeting rooms or queues as you wish, there is no restriction for the use of channels, concurrent connections or whatever.
Q: What phones can i use with asterBoard™?
A: Every phone, independent if hardware or software, can be used, that registeres and works properly with your Asterisk server.
Q: What hardware phones do you suggest to use?
A: We suggest the snom360 or the snom370 for highest user satisfaction. The usage of firmware version 7.1.30 or later is recommended.
Q: Why is asterBoard™ not able to record calls? I've seen other switchboard applications that can do this!
A: Recording of calls is a very difficult and dangerous issue, especially if working in larger companies. We decided not to integrate this feature to save a lot of money on lawer's costs for our customers.
Q: Does the demonstration license have any restrictions?
A: The demonstration license has exactly the same functions and features as a puchased license. Only the program runtime is restricted to a certain time. After this period of time, the application closes the browser window and you have to start it again.
Q: Where can i get support for your asterBoard™?
A: The support for asterBoard™, as for all other products you can find on the asterTools™ website, is done via the ZaKoTel Support Forum, that can be found here. You can buy a support package here.
Q: I have a general question to you, how can i contact ZaKoTel?

Q: How can i become a reseller/integrator of asterBoard™/asterTools™?

Q: I have a pbx with 20 users and all want to use asterBoard™, do I need to buy one license for pbx or 20 licenses?
A: one license is for one user who manages the Asterisk PBX using asterBoard™, if 20 users need to work with asterBoard™ AT THE SAME TIME, you need to buy 20 licenses, we have seen in the most used szenarios that normaly not more than 4 user working at the same time. You can open asterBoard™ from 20 different locations (Users) with one license but only the last user who opens asterBoard™ can work with it, all other users get disconnected.
