How to start
After the start of asterLive™ or the installation to your machine you have to go with a browser to the new system, in our example we have start asterLive and we are using IP 10.0.2.119 in our network settings, we recomend to use IVAN™ with a static IP address. After you go to the IP address you will see the folowing page in your browser, click on the ivan folder to go to the setup page:

On the first start of IVAN™ you will be connected to a setup page where you can configure the needed initial data, please fill in the usergroup username and the password you want to use for the admin group. This user will get all rights which are available inside IVAN™.
We recomend to setup a second usergroup and a user for that group inside IVAN™ after your first login.
Digits to use
you can choose how many digits you want to use inside the IVAN™ dialplan, this is a important issue, when a call comes to the [ivan] context inside /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf all dialed number will be accepted, the value you set here will tell the system how many digits will be count for the main number, all digits that are behind this value are handled as more extension is there a more extension configured, the service of the more extension will be used, if NO more extension is configured, the extension of the main number will be used and the configured service for this main number will be choosen.
You can add demo data to IVAN™ this include variouse scenarious how you can use the system, you can test the system with the demo data to get a better feeling about IVAN™, after the click on start setup you are ready to log into IVAN™ with your user and password.

Work with different user and usergroups
IVAN support different authorization levels what you can use for your users and groups depend of the needs for the user. Now we go to add a new usergroup which is a customer account, click on User Groups to start add a new Group:

in our example we add a new group called VoIPLt the owner is ivan (our admin group) and the ivan style:

and create a new user by click on create record:

now choose the user group where the user belongs to and choose a username and password for this user, we use in our example the name of the group for this user:
and we have now a new user and usergroup:

ok, the next step will be to add rights for this user, otherwise the user is not able to use the system, click on User Rights:

now you can not see any user, you have to choose the group you want to use on the top left:

now you can see all user of the choosen group and you are able to add rights to that user, the rights are grouped on user, admin, servicenumbers, config and asterisk, you have to click on one group of the top:
